CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT AARON L. DENT
CMSgt Aaron L. Dent is the State Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Georgia Air National Guard, Clay National Guard Center, Georgia. In this capacity, he provides guidance and advocacy for the enlisted force, which comprises approximately 2,900 Airmen. Chief Dent serves as the principal advisor to the Air Guard Commander, the State Senior Enlisted Advisor, and other key leaders on issues critical to mission success, including professional development, military readiness, training, and personnel utilization. His leadership is instrumental in driving operational excellence and cultivating a culture of growth and resilience within the Georgia ANG.
CMSgt Dent entered the Regular Air Force in December 1999 as a Command and Control Battle manager. His first assignment was at Hill AFB, Utah, where he qualified as a Surveillance Technician in June of 2000. He has served in multiple locations overseas and stateside as a C2 Battle Manager. After several assignments, he was selected for a special duty assignment at the Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATFS), Key West Florida. As a Tactical Action Officer with the Joint Task Force, CMSgt Dent participated in numerous named operations for the Counter Narco-terrorism mission. Furthermore, he trained and evaluated personal for the Air Bridge Denial counter Narco- terrorism program. In 2014, CMSgt Dent joined the Air National Guard and was selected for a development assignment as the ANG Readiness Center First Sergeant and the 201st MSS First Sergeant. There, he was responsible for all ANG Headquarters personnel and all Title Ten UCMJ actions in the ANG. He has extensive First Sergeant experience at the Wing and Major Command level and expertise in Joint, Regular Air Force, and Reserve component assignments. CMSgt Dent went on to serve as the 129th Rescue Wing Maintenance Group Superintendent and the 1AF, Chief Enlisted Manager, Operations Directorate, Tyndall AFB. He led a multitude of Defense Support of Civil Authorities missions and deployments at both assignments. Prior to his current position he served as the Command First Sergeant for the Air National Guard, Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, AFB, Md.
