MARIETTA, Ga. —
The Georgia National Guard (NG) will celebrate Hispanic Heritage month by holding a program at Drill Hall, Clay National Guard Center, Thursday, 11 a.m., which will recognize Hispanics and Hispanic-Americans for their contribution and sacrifice to the state and nation.
The audience will hear from Major General John King, Commander, Contingency Command Post 1 and Task Force 51, U.S. Army North and Fifth U.S. Army, as the guest speaker. King most recently served as the commander for the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Georgia NG. Maj. Gen. Tom Carden, The Adjutant General of Georgia, and other senior leaders from the Georgia NG are also expected to attend.
