Applying for Retirement Pay

Retired Soldiers can submit their retirement pay application directly to HRC or seek assistance from the GAARNG G-1 Retirement Office.

For detailed instructions refer to Chapter 7 of the M-Day Non-Regular Retirement SOP located in the HR Services section of the SOP page.

The G1 Retirement section provides assistance with preparing the retirement pay application. To request assistance please schedule an appointment with a Retirement Services Officer by emailing  ng.ga.gaarng.list.ngga-g1-retirements@mail.mil

Time Period to submit application

All qualified individuals must submit their application no early than 9 months and no later than 90 days prior to the date retired pay is to begin.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete the retired pay application DD Form 108 (Application for Retired Pay Benefits) and DD Form 2656 (Data for Payment or Retired Personnel) along with additional supporting documents. Refer to Chapter 7 of the M-Day Non-Regular Retirement SOP located in the HR Services section of the SOP page.
