Change MOS / Unit

Eligible Soldiers can extend their career by changing their MOS or their unit through the Cross-Unit Extension Policy. The policy applies to eligible Soldiers who wish to change their MOS and transfer to another unit to fill a vacancy or keep their current MOS and fill a vacancy in another unit. There are over 100 units with over 150 different MOS's and if you are within 365 days of your ETS contact a RRAM NCO to find out more.

Current Army National Guard Soldiers

If you are a current Guard member, you are eligible for the SLRP incentive if you meet the following requirements:

  1.   Must be within 365 days from ETS.
  2.   Must extend for a minimum of 3 years.
  3.   Must have less than 96 months of service (8 years).
  4.   Must be E7 or below.
  5.   Must not have a pending adverse action flag.
  6.   Must not have been selected for promotion into their current unit within the last 24 months.
  7.   For an MOS change the Soldier must meet the AFQT, line score, PULHES, security clearance requirements for that MOS.
