Key Info

Soldiers on State Active Duty (SAD) are paid by the Georgia State Goverment. When a Soldier gets ordered to SAD duty they are hired as a temporary employee of the State of Georgia and are issued an Employmee ID from the State of Georgia that the Soldier can use to access their W-2 for their period of SAD duty. The Soldier's SAD order will display the Employee ID requried for accessing the State of Georgia Employee Self Service Portal.

Steps to Access the State of Georgia Employee Self Service Portal
  • Step 1 )   View your State Active Duty Order for your Employee ID and temporary password. Orders are automatically generated and added to your IPERMS file at the conclusion of a SAD mission. If your orders are missing, please reach out to your unit S1.
  • Step 2 )   Navigate to https://hcm.teamworks.georgia.gov/
  • Step 3 )   Obtain your Temporary Password by contacting the SAO TeamWorks HCM Customer Service Center using the number listed on the HCM Teamworks website.
  • Step 4 )   Log in with your Employee Id and Temporary Password.
  • Step 5 )   You can view your pay information by navigating to the Payroll and Compensation section located under the Main Menu.
  • Step 6 )   W-2's will be available by 31-JAN of the following year. The cutoff date to access the Georgia Employee Self Service Portal is 30-April of each year.

You must follow the instructions for resetting your password that are provided on the Georgia Employee Self Service Portal.

What to do if I missed the window to download my W-2?

Your unit can contact the Georgia National Guard State Pay Office who maintain a hard copy of each Soldier's W-2.
