165th Airlift Wing

The 165th Airlift Wing is a unit of the Georgia Air National Guard stationed at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. More than 1,300 Airmen are assigned to support, maintain, and fly the C-130J Super Hercules aircraft. The mission of the wing is to provide trained and ready Airmen to meet state and national objectives. Units of the 165th execute global airlift missions and maintain mobilization readiness for humanitarian and contingency operations.

Geographically separated units supported by the 165th Airlift Wing include the 165th Air Support Operations Squadron in Savannah and the 224th Joint Communications Support Squadron located in Brunswick.
